Unique Aspect
The ever-evolving story of Yadokai - The beer that keeps on giving.
We first brewed Yadokai 5 years ago. A mass collaboration between Black Friars and the Hanging Bat in Edinburgh, Nanban in London and ourselves. Chefs, bars and breweries getting seriously creative!
Since then we have released the original version, a 2 year barrel-aged version, a Unique version that had gone through a “sickness” and now a 4.5 year aged version. Now, we have found a pallet in the warehouse that has a best before date just into next year, but actually tastes better than ever. When we made Yadokai we had literally no idea how it would age, we suspected very well, but didn’t know. We put a three year life on this batch, but it should have been a “best after” date not “best before”. This beer just gets better.
We want you to taste it, so we’re putting it on offer for you, but don’t feel there’s a rush, we think it will just keep getting better and better!

Food Pairings
Yadokai has so many elements to pair with from sharp yuzu to sweet alcohol to seaweed umami.Umami is the defining character of the beer and as such umami dishes, particularly Asian-inspired, compliment incredibly well. Pair up with Ramen, Okonomiyaki, Tacoyaki, Gyoza for lots of complimentary flavours while the beer lifts the fattiness associated with these dishes
