Yokai brings the delights of these ingredients, used so well in it’s predecessor, but are now more accessible in a balanced lower alcohol beer. It's all about the balance of the ingredients, and how they can work with Asian food. This takes inspiration from one of our favourite beers - Yadokai, but is packaged for a more everyday occasion.
Kelp seaweed and sea salt build a salty, umami base while oats maintain body and mouthfeel as a sharp yuzu citrus high note leaps up with the lightly fragrant Szechuan playing in the background.

Food Pairings
Yokai is heavily inspired by Asian cooking and so go great with Asian food! The session strength and drinkability of Yokai makes it easy to quaff with Japanese street food. Umami is the defining character of the beer and as such umami dishes compliment incredibly well. Pair up with Okonomiyaki, Tacoyaki or Gyoza for lots of complimentary flavours while the beer cuts the fattiness associated with these dishes with bright yuzu.
