Unique Aspect

Currant Affair incorporates blackcurrant alongside a variety of our house yeast cultures and a dry-hop that creates a beautiful balance. The fruit was added towards the end of the fermentation of a Berliner Weisse base, with the macerated fruit providing extra cultures for a secondary fermentation. The overwhelming juicy, tart, blackcurrants are the star of the show, leaving a lingering tannic finish.

Food Pairings

The Blackcurrant tart-berry character makes for a wonderful food companion. The jam-like acidity works well a variety of soft and creamy cheeses. The dry acidity cuts through the richness beautifully, whilst the freshness from the beers dry-hop cleanses your pallet.
