Wow! What a crazy weekend we’ve all had - we were at Midsummer Beer Happening in Stonehaven, Brighton Craft Beer Festival and a couple of us were enjoying Carnivale Brettanomyces in Amsterdam!
Midsummer Beer Happening, run by 6 Degrees North, is the host of a 3 day charity beer festival. This year, in its tenth year, they invited breweries to join them and celebrate the incredible amount of money raised for charity (this year it was in excess of £52,000!). The beer festival saw locals and those from afar join at one of Scotland’s biggest beer festival which was a sell out for many of the breweries. We had an awesome time serving with the volunteers, meeting some amazing brewers (thanks to North Brewing, Wylam, Overtone, 6 Degrees North and Deeside), taking #Fruition to Scotland again and finally trying a deep fried mars bar (and a pint of Tennents).
The incredible weather in Brighton was a treat for our Laura and Mon who were pouring at Brighton Craft Beer Festival. It was the first Brighton Craft Beer and throughout the weekend there were various tap takeovers happening across the city - with ours at The Hope & Ruin! We had a great time pouring here and the entertainment was so good!
Meanwhile in Amsterdam… Alex, Marek, Jakob and Lena were sampling the delights of Carnivale Brettanomyces; an incredible festivals that features innovative, experimental and uncommon beers. En route Alex and Marek stopped off at 8 breweries across Belgium - look out for their story soon!
