INTRODUCING OUR 'WILDLING' TEAM...
We’re going to be chatting to our lovely staff about why they got involved with Wild Beer, the beers the love and just a bit about them - keep an eye out on our social media and website stories to find out more...
Our staff are paramount and we think it’s about time you got to know us and put a face to our beers. Our team work tirelessly to produce, blend, create, plan, sell, market, troubleshoot and attend events and we want to give them the love they deserve!
If you have any questions you want to pose to our team - let us know!
James Bardgett - Barrel Wrangler
Favourite Wild Beer?
Modus Operandi (Beyond Modus 1 but I don’t often get to drink that!)
Favourite 'not Wild Beer'?
Big fan of pretty much everything Jonny Mills has done.
What got you into brewing/the industry?
The stress of working in the care industry. I had a good friend working at the brewery and I took the chance of a Christmas job. Luckily they kept me on and I’ve never looked back.
Previous experience in other breweries/similar companies?
Nope. I had been involved in a few home brews and liked drinking beer.
What's something you'd like to do brewing-wise that we have yet to do?
Making music, and general noise. I used to play in bands and make cigar box guitars but don’t really have the time nowadays. I also like to go on walks with my son.
Would you rather fight a hundred duck sized horses or one horse sized duck?
Nope. I’m a lover, not a fighter.
Favourite beer and crisp combo?
Beyond Modus 2014 and Pickled Onion Monster Munch.
Favourite barrel in the barrel store?
322 - a Burgundy white wine barrel. And the one I re-made into a half hogshead with Alistair Simms, the last master cooper in England.
One song you'd like to listen to right now?
I heard it on the grapevine but The Slits version.
Favourite bar snack?
Snyder's pretzel pieces, jalapeno flavour.
