During our time in Scotland we had the pleasure of meeting some of the guys from Thistly Cross Cider who really kindly invited us to visit their Cider Shed! Located in the small and beautiful town of Dunbar, just 30 miles from Edinburgh, their production facility sits on a farm surrounded by fields in the East Lothian countryside.
They create a range of Scottish ciders ranging from traditional to fruity, with their most popular being a whiskey cask cider.
At present, they have over 2000 Glen Moray whisky casks.
They use real and fresh ingredients in their ciders - a personal favourite of ours was the real Elderflower cider (which when Peter added Navy-strength gin to it, tasted amazing)!
Thistly Cross are all about passion, authenticity and ultimately, great cider. A small production team ensures the consistent quality of their ciders and as Somerset residents - we can formally confirm they achieve this!
Thanks again to Benji for showing us around!
