Yadokai has been brewed with the Hanging Bat Brewery, Blackfriars restaurant and bar and Masterchef winner and Nanban pop-up and cookbook owner Tim Anderson. The beer is going to be heavily influenced by ‘things what are Japanese’ including many interesting ingredients, including Hijiki and Yuzu. We’re also adding sea buckthorn, to give it a little bit of Scotland. The aim is a saki style beer, around 14% abv.
The Hanging Bat will host a Tap Takeover , Andrew and Brett will be in the bar from 6pm to 7pm on both the 21st and 22nd to chat to those who’d like to chat.
On the 21st Blackfriars will host an MTB and food matching dinner starting at 7.30pm in their bar. After a beer and a talk from the brewers you will move next door to the restaurant. On the 22nd we will host an MTB and food matching dinner from 7.30pm, the MTB will be held downstairs and the meal will be upstairs. The MTB’s / Dinners in both venues will be limited to 25 people, will be four courses and will be £45 per head. You will try 7 beers over the course of the evening and there will be more available on draught for after the events for those with a thirst on.
