The Blend - Winter 2015 is a limited release, special edition of our progressive and developing sour beer blending series. With 3 year old barrels, we now have a wealth of sour blending potential allowing us to marry together incredible complimentary elements for a huge depth of flavour.
This is a study in blending. Based around our flagship beer, Modus Operandi, which we've blended with other barrel-aged beers from our 'barrel library' to add extra character, depth and complexity to The Blend, to make it one of the finest barrel-aged beers we have achieved so far.
Best Before: 20/12/25
Our products get better with age, due to the nature of the beer, yeasts and bacteria used during Brewing. We estimated a BB date during production of this beer, but it has aged extremely well and will still drink perfectly well for the next 5 years

Food Pairing
Intense carbonation and acidity from wild fermentation make the Blend the perfect cutting beer - pair with rich fats to strip them away.Cured meats like jamon iberico will reduce to the sweet nutty character while playing up the stone fruits in the beer.Blue cheese like Colston Basset find affinity with the funkiness of the barrel and brettanomyces character while creaminess is scrubbed off the palate.
BUY NOWUnique Aspect
The Blend is the culmination of our best sour beer barrels at that point in time, for that point in time. It sees us blend 11 individual beers that we produce together which have been aged in 4 different kinds of barrels (bourbon, red wine, white wine and whisky). It takes incredible dedication blending from our library of over 400 barrels to whittle them down to a mere 24 for the final blend.
